Virtual STEAM Summer Camps

Offered for the first time, you can enroll your students in a summer of tech and/or creative writing programs!

LEGO® Robots!Studio Art!Sports Camp!

Panache Academie will feature 10 weeks of S.T.E.A.M. summer camp programs for 2020, from June 1 through August 7. We’ll offer week-long specialty camps including LEGO® Robotics and Engineering (for an additional fee), as well as our year-round S.T.E.L.L.A.R.™ curriculum, including language arts, math, science, video game programming, digital media, photography, animation and video. We will also arrange 3-4 field trips over the course of the summer to educational destinations such as Chabot Space Center and Oakland Zoo.

Schedule and details are subject to change. Field trips and specialty camps will be contingent upon minimum enrollment requirements. Specialty Camps will be offered from 9AM-12PM and will take the place of regularly scheduled morning S.T.E.L.L.A.R.™ camp activities.

S.T.E.M. or S.T.E.A.M.? Try S.T.E.L.L.A.R.™!

Summer Camp is a time for fun along with learning. At Academie, we will have blocks of time dedicated to learning concepts to ensure that students combat the “brain drain” that occurs during the summer months; however, we also want kids to be able to let loose and feel like it is summer. What does that look like?

S.T.E.L.L.A.R.™ – Our curriculum provides students with the balance between traditional academia and cutting-edge learning which caters to their passions, with classes developed by professional scientists, engineers, artists and designers. We include Language Arts, Math, Public Speaking, Science, Engineering, Art (digital and studio) in our daily and weekly lessons. Blocks of time will be allocated for activities on a weekly rotational basis. For example, during STELLAR projects, students will rotate between Scientixium lab, Artixeda Minor studio, Texniol Enginuitix lab and other extra-curriculars.

We’ll explore these constellations:

  • Scientixium: Hands-on learning about Earth science, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
  • Texniol Borealis: Technology — 3D printing, Chrome Lab, Digital Art
  • Enginuitix: Instruction in 3D modeling, Coding and Robotics
  • Lexicorion: Engagement in Creative Writing, Debate Skills, and Public Speaking
  • Logixeon: Practice with Logic and Reasoning
  • Artixeda Major: Instruction and hands-on learning in Studio and Fine Art — Art theory, history, styles and media
  • Rationixia Minor: Accelerated Math Practice

Summer S.T.E.L.L.A.R.™

All Summer Camp students (Kindergarten through 5th Grade) will participate in our daily S.T.E.L.L.A.R.™ curriculum, including:


Kids will learn fundamental concepts and principles of computer science, while gaining hands on experience in coding their own video games and other programs. Beginning with block-based coding systems using graphic symbols (Scratch Jr.) in Kindergarten, students will learn more complex coding concepts in the middle grades using Scratch, then transition in 4th and 5th grade to beginning to program in Python, learning a programming language with many real-world applications.

Digital Art:

Students will learn and practice creative art in a variety of digital media, including pixel art, photo manipulation, vector art, typography, photography, animation and videography.

In this one-week intensive camp, students will learn basic principles of engineering, robotics and coding / programming using LEGO® WeDo 2.0 and EV3 Mindstorms LEGO® sets. Kids will enjoy fun, hands-on activities that introduce engineering concepts including simple machines such as levers, wheels, pulleys and gear ratios, and programming concepts such as inputs, outputs, sequences, loops, if/then conditions, events and data structures. Kids will develop their curiosity and imagination while building skills they can carry into future science, technology, engineering arts and math (S.T.E.A.M.) classes, projects and careers.
